A-A-52557 - Fuel Oil, Diesel; For Posts, Camps And Stations
This CID covers requirements for two grades of low sulfur diesel fuel oils suitable for use in ground compression-ignition and gas turbine engines and other diesel fuel consuming equipment. The two grades of fuel are not suitable for aircraft engines. This diesel fuel is identified as NATO Code Number F-54. This CID does not cover diesel fuels intended for use in areas where ambient temperatures lowerthan -32 deg. C generally occur.
MIL-DTL-16884 - Fuel, Naval Distillate
This specification covers one grade of naval distillate fuel: NATO symbol F-76.
MIL-DTL-46162 - Fuel, Diesel, Referee Grade
This specification covers two types of referee fuel (see 1.2 and 6.1) for use in research, development and verification testing of all compression-ignition engines, diesel-powered auxiliary units, gas turbine engine driven ground vehicles, mobile electric power generators, and other fuel handling supply items designed to operate with either fuel conforming to A-A-52557 or MIL-DTL-83133.
MIL-F-24374 - Fuel, Distillate, Boiler (Use Mil-F-24397)
MIL-F-24376 - Fuel, Reference, And Standard Distillate (Use Mil-F-24397)
MIL-F-24397 - Fuel, Navy Distillate (Use Mil-F-16884)
MIL-F-53053 - Fuel Product, Coal-Oil Mixture (Com): Industrial Type Combustor-Boilers
This specification covers one grade of industrial type, combustor-boiler, coal-oil mixture, fuel product, hereinafter referred to as "COM".
MIL-F-53080 - Fuel, Engine Design, Referee Grade, Type I And Type Ii (Metric)
This multifuel engine design referee grade fuel specification covers two types of referee diesel fuels for use in research, development, and engineering of next generation engine powerplant systems being designed for both combat/tactical vehicles and equipment, and equipment, and mobile electric power generators that will be required to operate on a considerably wider range of fuels which will not conform to VV-F-800. Engines that demonstrate satisfactory operability on both fuel types will be capable of operating on a wide range of commercially available fuels as well as those fuels of lower quality anticipated to be marketed in the 1990-2025 time frame.
